How to control the manufacturing process in industries when field temperature is above 80-400°C.

In a dusty environment, the camera can not be used after a few days as dust gets accumulated on housing glass and block the view.

Background: In industries, there are many places such as hot plate mills, furnaces, conveyor belts, hot plate rolling mills, etc, where the temperature ranges from 80°C to 900°C. In these places, one can not stand to view the process, and monitoring of the process is not possible with normal cameras and housing.

Solution:

Pyrotech provides water cooling or air purging housing that can withstand temp. up to 900°C.

Air, nitrogen, or water flow is used through the housing to reduce temp. up to 42°C inside the housing.

Features of Pyrotech make housing:

Weatherproof Standard IP65/ IP66

Material of Construction: SS304

Use of toughened glass for temp up to 120°C

Use of tempered glass for temp up to 290°C

Use of quartz glass for temp up to 400°C

Air purging housing is used for dusty areas.

Client benefits: By using such type of housing, a process that cannot be controlled due to high temperature is monitored and controlled from the control room. Also quality of manufacturing improves due to monitoring of the process.

Project experience: SAIL-RSP (NEW PLATE MILL)

At SAIL-RSP new plate mill, to monitor hot plates having a temperature of 700-800 deg. We have supplied 4 nos. of the housing along with a camera to monitor plate molding and leveler process. A recording system and monitors are provided in the control room to monitor the process. We used water of temperature 30- 40°C to maintain the inner temperature of the housing. Also, air at standard pressure is purged to clean the front glass of the housing. With this type of housing, RSP can monitor hot plates properly.
